Julie Manwaring has long loved the whimsical, rhythmic beauty found in the repeating letterforms and flourishes of calligraphy. Her custom hand-lettering and illustration studio, Flourish & Whim, grew out of this love for letters and passion for art. See more of her work in the brand new Creative Lettering & Beyond.

"There are two things you can never have too many of: good friends and good shoes."
Meet Kansas City-based artist and illustrator Sarah Walsh, the artist behind Walter Foster's Just Add Color: Circus, Just Add Color: Day of the Dead, and Just Add Color: Carnival. Sarah has designed typefaces, illustrated for various card lines, dabbled in animation, and designed surface pattern. Her current work as a freelance artist allows her to work on a variety of projects−from books to editorial to fine art to fabric. I had the chance to talk with Sarah about her work as an artist/ illustrator and the things that inspire her!
Enjoy a sneak peak into Fashion Design Lookbook coming out in October 2014!
