"There are dragons in the clouds, in trees and waves, and dragons carved in stone, and guarding gold in caverns old, in stories, waiting to be told..."
Let's not pretend. It's undeniable. We all think that coloring sounds fun. No matter your age or interests, I just don't believe that anyone thinks coloring is miserable.
The Pictura coloring books have been calling to me for a little while now. And finally, I gave in. When I first saw the beautiful Pictura spreads, I thought that Coloring Paris would be where I would start. But I guess I was in a bit of an imaginative mood, because Coloring Dragons won my heart.
Honestly, I figured that I would probably get bored of coloring after a few minutes, but the process of layering on green after blue-green after yellow-green was absolutely mesmerizing! Suddenly this lovely artwork from John Howe (an illustrator for The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit films) started coming to life. Color choices brought new personality to each dragon. Vibrant accents here. Seedy red eyes there. Bright blue sky or a fiery sunset...I could decide.

Yes, yes. Perhaps I let my imagination run away with me for a bit there. But is it really so bad to spend a little time daydreaming about a dragon story...? You won't know until you try!
Which Pictura coloring book have you thought about getting lost in?
