Walter Foster Publishing began as a one-man business more than 80 years ago, when Walter T. Foster started producing self-help art instruction books from his home in Laguna Beach, California. He originally wrote, illustrated, printed, bound, packaged, shipped, and distributed them himself. Because of our humble origins, it is often difficult for us to provide you with accurate information in regard to original dates of publication and other related information concerning our historic titles or covers. Often times, the best place to find information of this nature is by contacting other collectors.
