Walter Foster Authors & Artists
Molly Jacques is typographical artist with a strong emphasis on calligraphy and hand lettering. Not limited to one outlet, Molly has worked on a wide array of projects, including typeface design, editorial hand lettering, illustration, and wedding calligraphy.
Molly's work has been featured in publications such as Communication Arts, HOW, Martha Stewart Weddings, and Every Day with Rachael Ray. Molly's work is recognizable by her signature bold, modern lettering paired with traditional copperplate calligraphy and illustrative elements. Her work is minimalistic in color and honors innovation and movement amongst other lettering artists of her time.
With great encouragement from her parents, Molly grew up knowing she wanted to pursue an artist's life. She received her BFA in 2010 from College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, and currently resides in Detroit with her husband and works from home as a fulltime freelance lettering artist.
