Try a few of these cool drawing techniques to discover a world of possibilities!
There are several different ways you can draw with use your crayons or pencils. First, you can press either hard or soft with your crayon to create a lighter or darker color. You can also "gradate" which means you can start with hard pressure and move to a lighter pressure to create a fading effect. You may also draw lines with your pencil to create a textured look. This is called hatching or cross-hatching. You can also layer different colors with light pressure to create other colors! Even the type of paper you use will affect how your drawing looks.
