Feathering & Blending

Blend, smudge, and smear colors to create a soft effect.
You can also "feather," or place two colors side by side,
overlapping them slightly in the middle. Then rub across
both colors with your finger or a paper towel to softly blend them.
(You can also buy a paper blending stump at your local
art supply store.)
