Kids can learn how to draw a guinea pig by starting with simple shapes, and then following the easy step-by-step instructions in this excerpt from All About Drawing Horses & Pets.
Begin drawing your guinea pig by drawing these basic shapes.
Now draw little feet for your guinea pig, and add half of an oval for its head.
Next, draw a circle for the guinea pig's eye, a triangle for its nose, little toes, and ears. You can begin to draw the guinea pig's poofy fur-do now too.
Finish drawing your guinea pig by adding more clumps of hair, drawing six whiskers, and adding the final details to the eye. Remember to leave a tiny part of the black pupil white—this will give your guinea pig a sparkle in its eye!
Now that you are finished drawing your guinea pig, it's time to color it in. Guinea pigs come in all kinds of different colors, so be creative. You can use crayons, markers, colored pencils, or even paint.
The noblest pleasure is the joy of understanding.
